David Nicholls is a Portfolio Manager for the Global Emerging Markets Sustainable and Eastern European strategies. He also works with ESG integration, helping to develop East Capital’s proprietary ESG tools and engagement approach. David joined East Capital as an Analyst in 2014, was promoted to Assistant Portfolio Advisor in 2020. He assumed his current role as Portfolio Manager in 2022.

Prior to East Capital, he was Analyst and then Associate at ING Bank advising local and international companies on large energy projects in Russia and Central Asia. David holds a BA in Economics from Durham University and is a CFA charterholder. He speaks English and Russian.
